Today(8/January/2026),in the presence of the governor of duhok governorate,the deputy governor,the Director of water outskirts of duhok governorate,the director of water for Duhok,the mayor of semel district, and several water-related institutions, a visit was made to the strategic(Khanke)project for water withdrawal from duhok governorate, which is 95% complete.
The attendees became aware of other projects located on the(Mosul)bridge,such as the strategic(Khanke)water project, which is important for duhok governorate in general and for Semel district in particular, along with the(Cham Barakat)project.
