Our department was developed in 2008 and is part of the Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism in Kurdistan, and one of the most important objectives of our department is to provide drinking water to citizens in the districts, districts, villages, and residential complexes of Dohuk and the best modern scientific methods, as well as its objectives, are to maintain and maintain water networks within the boundaries of our department, and about 90 percent of the population is in the country. Its residents benefit from the services of our department and we are seeking to raise this percentage. Our department’s activities include the administrative boundaries of the four districts (Smail, Imadiya, Burdrash, Sheikhan) with all areas, villages, and residential complexes. Our department seeks to take advantage of all surface water sources by establishing strategic projects such as the Strategic Amadiya Water Project, which has been implemented to provide safe drinking water to citizens with a capacity of 2400 m3 per hour. In Smail district, our department has begun implementing projects in the justice center as well as in the Patel district center of the said judiciary, as well as in (21) residential complexes, 88 villages and (4) refugee camps, and the number of citizens benefiting from our department‘s projects throughout this judiciary (133,727) citizens. With regard to Sheikhan district, about 15,500 citizens have registered to extend water lines, and (200,000) citizens in this judiciary have benefited from our services spread over (155 villages) and (5) districts and two residential complexes. In Fayeda district, we have established a water division in the area and a strategic water project is being implemented in the area and the number of citizens benefiting from our department‘s projects in this area is about 250,000 citizens, including 150,000 citizens living within the boundaries of the area mentioned. The Berdrsh District Water Division of our department provides drinking water to about 35,000 citizens in the judicial center, (10,000) citizens in Rovia district, 6,000 citizens in Darto district, and about 70,000 citizens in (84) villages with the municipality of Beninan and all of them from The District of Barrash. In the Kalak area, this area depends on water sources to provide drinking water to citizens, there is a project water Kalek located on the Big Zab River, which can equip the project with 480(m3) of potable water per hour and there are also (4) water wells that are relied upon for processing and providing that each of these wells equips the people of the area with 40(m3) of drinking water per hour and that the number of subscription lines in the area is (2115) subscription. The Sersnk district, which is connected by two other districts, The B’Errani and The Jumani district, is connected to its villages, and these areas depend on the water of the wells and springs to provide drinking water to the citizens. Our department provides and processes all necessary supplies such as chlorine, water pipes, water pumps, electric generators, and all that is needed in the process of providing drinking water, as well as maintaining and sustaining all these projects and extending the necessary water networks. Finally, our department has been able to provide the latest modern technologies and advanced equipment to provide drinking water to (4) districts and more than (746) villages, (11) districts, (26) residential complexes, and (9) refugee camps and that more than (956,000) citizens benefit from the services of our department and there are more than (57,700) common citizens of water lines.
